Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Cor Gee)
According to the AKC's The Complete Dog Book, the Corgi from Pembrokeshire (in Great Britain) can be traced back to 1107 A.D. "The Pembroke
is on of the most agreeable house dogs. It has an affectionate nature, but does not force its attentions upon those unwilling to accept
them. Its intelligence is undoubted, and it is a remarkably alert, ever-vigilant guard of the fireside."
These active little dogs (some say the heart of a big dog in a little dog's body) have foxy shaped heads with intelligent and interested
expressions. Their ears are medium sized and erect. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi's ears are tapered slightly to a rounded point, while the
Cardigan Welsh Corgi's ears are more rounded.
