Yorkshire Terrier (York shire)

The Yorkshire Terrier a.k.a. Yorkie is a little toy breed of fairly modern breeding. They were first recognized as a breed by the Kennel Club of England in 1861. Yorkies with their long coat and ribbons appears to be a pampered toy dog, but they have the spirit and fire of a true terrier.

Yorkies are true dolls and very adorable. They have a lot of spirit and love to play. They make wonderful pets and companions.

Puppies that will develop into correct adult colors are always born black with tan markings.
